Lovely Friendship swap...

Lissy Lou over on Istagram organised a friendship swap & I was paired with Josie Crafter...

The idea was to match a gift to the letters that spell FRIENDS. I 'F' for Failed at that... but yesterday received the BEST parcel...

the BEST thing... a little china jug (for my collection) with a thatched cottage pattern.

As ever been a real pleasure finding & making bits for my swap partner & hope she's as happy with her parcel as I am with mine.
Am just off out into the garden to pick some flowers for my new jug!

Well hello. I've been a bit quiet lately for a number of home type reasons but anyway here I am with NEWS!

As you know am on the design team at Creative Connections & am pleased to now announce a new venture there- Still with the monthly design challenge but a new place to link to...

April Craft Challenge WEATHER

The theme for this months Craft Challenge over at Creative connections is WEATHER....

APRIL SHOWERS, SUN, WIND, RAIN, SNOW

 I refused to even contemplate any of them except... SUN SUN SUN....

So, reached for the buttons and tried a couple of brooches- 

One sewn....

SUNSHINE yellow Button Brooch 

and one glued...

This one looks better worn!

Feeling FRUITY for Pinaddicts...

Well hello! In a flurry of organisational madness my Pinaddicts Pinterest challenge for March has been brewing since February...


I was going to make this-

But was told it still had a 
VERY Vinegary smell by Mrs DG

So I made my own version-

Grapefruit, Orange & Lime - Squeeze

Then sieve into jug & add lemonade.

drink... dance... enjoy.

With the leftovers... 

Slice off the skins &
discard the mushy, pithy bits

Drop smaller bits of skin into a kilner of vinegar

Grate the larger bits in. 

Leave for few weeks...

Then sieve & decant into spray bottle

The smell is a bit vinegary but not unpleasant.

and brings your windows up a treat!
